CALL FOR PAPERS
This is a call for papers for a special issue of the Journal of Mathematics and Music, to focus on "Tiling Problems in music." This Special Issue welcomes original contributions that deal with tiling processes in the pitch, rhythmic, and more general musical spaces, as applied to music theory, analysis, composition, perception, cognition and performance.
The special issue is targeted for publication in the middle of 2009.
The Journal of Mathematics and Music is the official journal of the Society for Mathematics and Computation in Music, an international forum for researchers and musicians working at the intersection of music, mathematics, and computation. The Journal is the culmination of several years' thoughtful deliberation amongst a distinguished and international community of scholars. The Journal launched its inaugural issue at the International Conference on Mathematics and Computation in Music, in Berlin in 2007.
